Newburg Village offers estate-style semi-custom one- and two-story single-family homes in a serene, tranquil setting with day-to-day services just minutes away. Every home site offers dramatic scenery, including ponds and landscaped fairways, that our homeowners can enjoy from their windows.

Amenities include city water and sewer, Clubhouse with Pro Shop and Snack Bar, short-irons driving range, and convenient access to shopping centers, restaurants, entertainment, and major highways. Recreational choices abound with walking and biking trails, Magic Waters Water Park, boating, fishing and a variety of other sporting opportunities located nearby.

Board Meeting Scheduled for January 17
The NVHA Board of Directors normally meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at Christ the Rock Lutheran Church at the corner of Newburg and Mill Roads. A copy of the agenda for the meeting can be found HERE.

Annual Meeting Update
At the December 13, 2011 Annual Meeting, the Board approved the Association budget for 2012 and the assessments for 2012. Assessment notices were mailed on December 19, and are due and payable as of January 1, 2012. In the election for one Director, Gary Tiffany was elected to serve a three-year term. Residents brought up a couple of items for discussion during the open comment time. No other business was transacted.

Architectural Review Reminder
If you are planning changes to your landscaping or to the exterior of your home, please remember that any changes to the exterior of your house and to your property are subject to the restrictions listed in our CC&Rs and must be reviewed by our Architectural Review Committee (ARC) before work can begin.

The types of improvements that must be submitted to the ARC for review include any additions or remodeling to the exterior of your home; any major landscaping work, including all patios and decks; additions of or changes to all manmade structures including, but not limited to, gazebos, structural play sets, and retaining walls; and all large plantings and berms.

It is not the intent or interest of the ARC to require approval for planting of all small flowers and shrubs or for minor landscaping repairs.

The ARC strives to find a balance between what is beneficial for the entire subdivision and the individual taste and creativity of each homeowner. If you have questions concerning the ARC process or a particular project you have in mind, please see our Architectural Review page.

Unfortunately, over the last year, we have had an increasing number of individuals who have started improvement projects WITHOUT passing them by the ARC first. While all have submitted paperwork once they have been notified that they are in violation, the disregard for the necessity to submit paperwork BEFORE beginning a project will no longer be tolerated.

Our rules and regulations do spell out fines for non-compliance and, after discussing the subject with those in attendance at the Annual Meeting this past December, it was decided that any future violations will be subject to fines as laid out in our Regulation on Rules Enforcement approved August, 2006. Per the regulation, the fines are as follows:

for commencement, continuance, and/or completion of an architectural or structural improvement without ARC approval ..... $100.00 - $300.00 per month;

failure to complete improvement within required time frame ..... $25.00 - $300.00 per month;

Non-compliance with architectural guidelines ..... $25.00 - $300.00 per month.

Copies of the ARC guidelines and the ARC Review Application are posted on the NVHA website under the Architectural Review  tab and are included in your Homeowners Handbook.

If you have any questions at all concerning the ARC process or about a particular project you have in mind, please contact one of the ARC members before you begin your project.
